Siman 188 Seifim 3 - 6

  1. If she inserted a small tube and gathered blood through it, she is pure.  Likewise if she found blood and a piece of flash even if it is porous and there is blood in the pores in such a way that it’s touched her flesh she is still pure this is unusual. Similarly, a woman who has a detached uterus and some pieces of flesh are descending into the vagina, she is still pure, since this event is not normal.  Even if she then sees blood, as long as the pieces remain in her vagina, she is pure.  We attribute the blood to these pieces since we know with certainty take that her uterus detached.  It is therefore assumed to be due to a wound.
  1. Any blood that is discharged from a woman, whether it is soft or dry, renders her impure.  Furthermore, if  the discharge took the shape of an organism like skin or hair or reddish like insects she is still considered impure,  so long as the mass disintegrates within 24 hours by being soaked in lukewarm water. The water must remain lukewarm during the whole 24 hoursThe water should the same as water drawn from a river in the summertime and brought to room temperature for that time of year.  This is the temperature required during the winter as well. The required temperature is no warmer the temperature of saliva.  If they are so hard that they do not disintegrate during the 24 hours, she is pure, even if they can be crushed with the nails.  If he crushed them with his nails and they did not disintegrate, she is pure and there is no need to check through soaking.
  1. These pieces are pure only when they are completely dry – i.e., they have no blood on them.  If there is moist blood on them, she is impure.  Likewise, if some disintegrated and some did not she is impure.  Nevertheless, it seems to me that if she checked three times all that was discharged and it did not disintegrate at all, she must not check any further when she sees subsequently in the same manner, since it is established that these discharges are not blood, but are from an internal wound.

  1. In what cases are we saying that she must check through soaking - when she discharges something that looks like skin or hair.  However, a piece of blood, although it is hard and does not disintegrate, makes her impure.
